Journey to the new house - Part 3

 OMG!  Will this house buying journey ever end?

The appraisal took FOREVER to come in....and when it did, it was almost $7000 less than asking price!  (sigh)  Luckily, (for me...not them) the sellers lowered the price to match the appraisal.  Now we just have to wait for all the paperwork to be re-worked, signed, etc..  No solid closing date yet, but we're hoping for next week.  The sooner that better, if you ask me!  I'm hearing the sellers are having the same issue (no appraisal yet) with the house they are buying so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Journey to the new house - Part 2

Everything seems to be chugging along.  My loan officer called this morning and said everything is going pretty smoothly.  The appraisal has been ordered and my paperwork is with the underwriter, both of which should be back by the middle of next week.  We are still set to close on the 14th....but the current owners have asked for 3 days to move so I probably won't be moving in until around 23rd, which is sort of a bummer.  

Buying a house is super exciting....but it's also super nerve-racking! The pessimist in me is struggling to get out!
